Graduate Student Research Grants
2017 GRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH AWARDS FOR RESEARCH IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN
Duke graduate and professional school students pursuing a masters or PhD degree may apply for brief periods of research in Latin America or Caribbean. Funding is provided by the Tinker Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Duke Office of Global Affairs. Application deadline for travel in summer and fall of 2017 has not yet been set.
DUKE BRAZIL INITIATIVE (DBI) RESEARCH GRANTS
These grants are open to graduate and professional school students across all schools and institutes as well as all fields of study. Applications are encouraged from all disciplines in Arts and Sciences as well as professional schools. Artists, performers, and digital humanities scholars are also encouraged to apply although an institutional nexus is required in all cases.
Awards range from $1,500 to $4,000. Applications are due March 3rd, 2017.
