CLACS CONFERENCE TRAVEL GRANTS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
Latin Americanist graduate students from any department or school presenting papers at conferences, symposiums, colloquiums, and workshops in the U.S. or abroad may apply. Priority will be given to conferences, symposiums, colloquiums, and workshops directly related to Latin America and the Caribbean.
Award amounts will vary, with a maximum award of $250 for domestic travel and a maximum award of $500 for international travel. Travel outside the continental U.S.A. may also be considered for up to $500, if funds are available.
Note that international travel requires approval per the current travel policy on the Duke Global Travel Office website. All international travel must be registered on Duke's travel registry before awards can be processed.
We are currently receiving applications for conferences, symposiums, colloquiums, and workshops that will take place from the beginning of August 2026 to the end of July 2027.
