CLACS MELLON CONFERENCE GRANTS

Latin Americanist/Caribbeanist faculty from any department or school presenting papers at conferences or professional meetings in the United States or abroad may apply.  Applications accepted starting August 1st for following Academic Year, including following Summer.

CLACS FACULTY RESEARCH GRANTS

CLACS offers Faculty Research Grants for short periods of scholarly research on Latin America and the Caribbean. Applications are invited from Duke Latin Americanist and Caribbeanist faculty in all disciplines.  Deadline to apply to conduct research in Summer and Fall is March 8, 2024.

DUKE BRAZIL INITIATIVE (DBI) RESEARCH GRANTS

The Duke Brazil Initiative (DBI) is offering research grants for both individual and group projects focused on Brazil. We particularly encourage proposals that align with ongoing activities or signature initiatives of the DBI—social mobility and education, energy and environment, arts and curation, public health, race and culture—although new ideas from any discipline are welcomed. Deadline to apply is March 8, 2024.
